Tim Speed of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum came to give us a presentation on the history of Avro and their Canadian manufacturing. The Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum currently has an airworthy Avro Lancaster which we heard many great details about. Following that, we learned of the disappointing history that was the cancelled Avro Arrow project.

All our club members agreed that Tim was an amazing presenter and public speaker. We are glad he was able to travel from the Hamilton area to tell us about some Canada’s great aviation history. He has invited the club to the museum and a few of our members are hoping to plan a bus trip for a Saturday outing during the summer months.
