The Terry Fox Run in an annual event
to raise money for cancer research. In 1980 Terry Fox
attempted to run across Canada to raise funds for cancer research.
Unfortunately Terry succumbed to his illness and passed away before
fulfilling his dream. Each year, from coast to coast in
Canada, there are numerous Terry Fox Run's so that his dream is kept
alive. This year the North
Shore ARC was asked to provide communications for this event.
Martha, VA3SBD, organized a group of amateurs and was able to
provide this valuable service to the event organizers.
